It is none of my business what is the size and scope of Bernard's portfolio. Stops are set by this measure. Even trailing stops begin with this measure.

IMHO the safest place for safe money is in laddered bonds. If you want to be really safe put them in Treasuries. This pretty much eliminates interest fluctuations since you are always rolling into the prevailing rate. Unless the bonds default you end up with the face value at maturity.
