Dave> I disagree. I would much rather have a small and well thought out selection of things that work and work well, than a laundry list of cheap items that either don't work together or work poorly. It's all about ease of use, especially for the not-so-technically-oriented users, which is a huge portion of the Mac target customer base.

Dave, you and all other Apple users are in the minority.

No matter how much you defend the Apple line it is and will always be a niche player. " Not that there is anything wrong with that!" But Apple's market is NOT expanding, in fact it is contracting in just about all areas. For this reason alone, many will continue to avoid buying them no matter how impressive or creative or user friendly the Mac machine is.

It's all all about numbers always has been and always will. The cast is set and it is only a matter of time until Apple goes the way of the Studabaker's "Avanti" Design and styling years ahead of it's time, The Rambler Jeep a great concept which could only survive when it was bought out by a bigger brother, then there is the Plymouth, Oldsmobile and soon Mercury. All great companies but each year their market share got smaller and smaller and then there was none.

Don't worry Apple won't be alone, Gateway and a few other PC players will be gone before Apple.
