What say I? I hope what the article says is correct, then maybe stronger action can be taken against arafat with the support of other arab leaders. But it's hard for me to differentiate between Jewish propaganda and Arab propaganda and then to find where the truth really lies. I do know the situation between Israel and Palestine today is something a number of people predicted in 2000 with Sharon's entry into the leadership race, I know this because I read the articles. The commentators said with Sharon's coming to power there would be an escalation of violence and so that has come to pass. Is Arafat's latest moves measures to thwart Sharons moves to expand settlements in occupied territories?/ As Sharon tries to create threats to Arafat's power, he does the same to Sharon with his actions. I've come to this thread to better understand the mideast situation, but, imo, I say the whole mideast thing would be better off if both Sharon and Arafat were to step aside. Alternatively, the next best thing would be for the Arab league to take Sharon up on his offer to attend the summit. I've come late to this thread and I don't know what DEBKAfile is.
