Has this bandwagon got room for one more?

Now I am totally confused.

This statement this morning seemed to get a visceral reaction of agreement from this thread. After reading the Sunday Morning columns in the major papers, the sense I get is that the "Arafat" issue gets settled before we do more in the Middle East.

By "settled", I mean that the Bush Administration wants it out of the way so that they can get on with attacking terrorism. I think the "put up or shut up" approach that Zinni has put to Arafat is coming to a head now, and Arafat cannot wiggle out of this one. I cannot believe that the Administration would be so stupid as to let him continue to "play" them.

We seem to have all of our marbles on Iraq. I am more worried about Iran.

But, TWT. My main feeling is one of frustration about the whole Israeli question. No long term or short term solution is sight.
