The post is interesting. And nowhere did I see a post around claiming that the Zionists did not push local Muslims, call them Palestinians if you want. It did happen, between 300 and 500K Pa had to move to make room for the "eightish" generation of returning Jews that had managed to survive, and often prosper. And now there is a problem of land. How could have it been otherwise, all things being known ? I just hope this problem will slowly fade away, like they usually do among nations. Read a couple of generations.
Now, when you tour a country, if I may, do not take organized tours, unless you are in a wheelchair. Tour guides are not people to ask questions to, they are worthless, unless you like brochures as reality, unless you think that you'll never get your coke even with dollars, because while you travel, you also email us(g). Mix with the locals, the natives, take the Israeli bus, you'll even meet Arabs. They do tell you other stories. And often I am amazed at what the Palestinian Israeli tell me when I ask, "How come you do not hate the Jews...? Like I used to ask Algerian Muslims (any age, place ) "How come you do not hate the French, after all they killed a million of you less than forty years ago, you remember, don't you? Within ten minutes they really open their hart, if you knwo the follow up questions, of course.
In my experience the Muslims do have a faster (probably better) tendency to...forgive. And this is probably what could be called by the Moslem Erudites a fringe benefit from the Kuran (and Moslem traditions and civilisation, IMO); and for me, whatever % is pure Kuran, it is most probably its best achievement, by far. (I did live among Arabs from age 12 to 24, (Israeli to 12) and even enjoyed it, even though I served most of my social time with Cosmopolites, as you can guess, because those who live by the first, second or third mono religious books, be them Muslems Christians of Jews, explaining to you the "whys" and ifs of a few hundred miracles that happened, witnesses prove it beyond reasonable doubt, they are all equally boring. But right know, from where I sit, the Jewish babbling get any oscar you want, well if I dismiss the trip Mohammed horse took to heaven, with his master, because this warrior always needed a horse. After that, how can you doubt that they didn't take off from Jerusalem. And now we have a problem : they want their part of the runway! So, as you see I must try to tell them what the world looks like from outside the cocoon of their books. And it is hard, because on this point, Bush is not going to help me, at all. However I do trust that on about all the topics relating to this ME problem, it is his take that will hit History, just like he has done in the last six months. Well Thomas M, that is my view. Thanks for the reading. Have fun. |
