This Silicon Investor bearishness/bullishness argument is getting tired for me. Bulls all claim the SI boards are mostly bearish and vice versa. Perhaps there are a disproportionate number of bears left on SI compared to the general public because they are the only ones with any money left after the last 2 years.-g/ng

My experiences out here in the real world tells me there are PLENTY of bulls left.

"I am not saying you are not seeing it, but bulls see what they want and bears see what they want." Nice comments AA, you have said a mouthful there and that pretty much sums it up about how many of us only see what we want to see. Re. the sideline cash issue, I agree with you and Shack on sideline cash. My reference was to what I've seen the past few days in some of the trading forums where many of the traders say they are on the sidelines in cash anxiously awaiting for the expected decline. When the bull forums get cautious, I get wary about being too bearish. Still, I have no clue to what the market will do and have learned it can be hazardous to my trading capital when I begin trading my opinions. I'll leave the wiggles and squiggles of the market to others, especially the Nasdaq, as I prefer to stick with sectors in nice defined non-volatile uptrends such as Asia(which I have probably now jinxed)

An example of sideline cash raised in less than a year

biz.yahoo.com

I'm sure there are plenty of other examples of companies that have liquified their holdings of other shares or have sold commercial paper to raise cash.
