tgptndr: It has been said that the Hammer production processes will add substantially to that(13 weeks), though I've no opinion on the reason(s) for or factuality of the statement and would appreciate discussion from knowledgeable individuals.

One thing that can increase process time is the number of metal layers used. AMD's .18µm Cu process supports up to 7ML, but I believe Athlon only uses 5ML. Hammer could use more, which could help decrease the die size (but increases process time and may negatively impact bin splits, from what I understand).
