I could use some help with those familiar with Madison Square Garden, if you don't mind.

A friend of mine and I have tickets to see The Who/Robert Plant there in August, and we're going to be taking the Metroliner up for the show and pull an all-nighter. Neither one of us have been to the Garden before.

We're going to be looking for a good, casual place to eat before the show (good beer would be appreciated), and then perhaps someplace to go to kill time afterwards. (The concert's on a Thursday night.) We'll either be taking the 2:25 a.m. or 5:25 a.m. train back.

Any suggestions?

I personally like the Garden...Better sounds, and your in NYC !!!

The meadowlands is easier to drive to. So it would depend on transportation & such.

Give me NYC over the swamp anytime ;-)
