FR1, ltbh investors still have to do some timing to sell when the cycle peaks [actually before], unless they are content to ride the stock up to a double or triple and then lose more than half of their gains again. It depends partly on their time horizon. At least this is true for the semi equips. Besides, traders provide liquidity. I have no quarrel with anyone who 'invests' differently and doubt that multi baggers would happen if EVERYONE was ltbh.

JNJ has been a very steady gainer, yet over the very long term - hindsight - AMAT outperformed it. Would you bet on this happening again over the next 20 years? I wouldn't, since I don't even buy green bananas. :)
