It doesn't apply to fora like SI... did you know that? I am quite well aware of what the Constitution is, thank you. There is no absolute right to free speech in this country. Quite true. The classic example is yelling "Fire!" in a crowded theater. Speaking with intent to incite disorder is also illegal. I don't feel motivated or morally obligated to rub every Christian's nose in the hypocrisy. First, I am not a Christian. Not all conservatives are Christians or even religious... did you know that? The question is, should my speech be limited by what some religious group may find offensive? If that rule were applied to everybody and every religious group, you could barely open your mouth at all. This is a forum owned by a private company. They get to make the rules. You don't like their rules? Go find one whose rules you do like. To its credit, SI has been willing to allow freedom of speech with occasional limitations. One of the limitations that SI had been using broke down and led to the creation of this thread. See rule 2 in the header. But none of this means that I or anyone else are not allowed to tell Osama bin Laden jokes. Or Easter jokes ("Did you hear Easter has been cancelled this year? They found the body.")

It is NOT ok to question consideration. You start talking like that and you aren't being an American, son. Americans call people names. And tell jokes about people they don't like. And shun people. That is the American way. You're just lucky no one called you a traitor yet. There is enough hypocrisy on these threads to give everyone a noseful. But some people can't see their noses, much less further than their noses, so in those cases, it is probably a lost cause. Know what I mean? You bring it up, you let it go. You move on.
