Chris-- ~~OT~~ The US military has long given every attempt to bring back all wounded and deceased. The US govt is another complete matter. The US govt was well aware there were hundreds more in Nam than were released. Actually, the Admiral in charge of the withdraw stopped the withdraw unpon learning of the number to be released. He was told by Kissinger to resume but did not until ordered by Nixon. The military will go after their own at all costs as they know the govt will not do anything but write them off. To complicate matters, the other lies for political reasons, does not provide accurate info to S&R or later govt inquirey as indicated by the mention of Sgt Tubbs in the McDonald link. I think we spoke of the early Laos/Cambodia tie in the past. Much easier to list one missing in those places as KIA/BNR S or N VN than to admit we were there for political reasons------ better results would have come from honesty or saying nothing.
