Dude, I had a private water company in my town.
We were shareholders and we 'owned' the ditch.
They were general partners and they took big fat salaries and paid all their friends and family to send out flyers telling how they drove the tractor across the street. (we bought backhoes from them and surplus siding for the fire house)
Anyway, when people started to complain they 'sold' the corporation and i had to pay 3500.00 dollars for the so called 'buy out'...(of course they financed it at 12 percent and I was 'selling' so of course i had to pay)....Problem was, My house is 30 years old and i received nothing for the 3500 i Paid to the people who drove the tractors and went around turning my water off. I still had to pay my 75 bucks a month for water. It's a racquet man. It's all a racquet. The guys who clean my street. They do it in the middle of the night so they can get overtime. The guys who rake the same spot at the county fire house do it about every other day to help support the friends and family. It's a racquet man. A total racquet. Don't even get me started on P.G. and E ...That's a whole 'nother racquet. It's just what the big multi national corporations do...it's just a smaller level.
