Dear QS: Funny, I always thought Ruckeyser did a good job and had good guests on his show. Personally, I hope he gets another one somewhere. jdn

Public broadcasting has far outlived any usefulness it might have once had. One of it's few achievments was the hugely successful Wall Street Week. The success of that show was due to their great fortune of having a giant like Rukeyser work for them at just the right time. The Internet has come along, with much more information, but there is little on the web to match the perception, perspective, and presentation of WSW. Don't hold your breath until these clowns at PBS duplicate this classic, it ain't gonna happen.

Ultimately, the useless Public Broadcasting Act of 1970 will be changed or overturned, and allowed to fade away. It was a bad idea in the first place, but WSW was one of it's few bright accomplishments, and Lew gets all the credit...
