Which plan do you mean, tapping solar energy via 'space-mirrors'? For now, I'm strangely ambivalent about the idea of vast quantities of solar energy being focussed and then punched through the atmosphere (as what? lasers??). Sounds too much like Star Wars - the Reagan/Bush version, not the Lucas one. [And said plan was best summed up, for me, by that evocative phrase 'brilliant pebbles'... ROFL, it would have been the only brilliance about the plan].
