DAK, what ever <GGG> the point is that I do not think that today many follow religious goals with the same zeal as 400 to 600 years ago (possible I am wrong as even then religion was purely used to achieve political means). In our days to find justification in a religious book to kill unarmed and innocent people and find after that personal gratification ....... this was my point. After all, are we not supposed to cherish life and not self-destruction for some ideological goals? What if in several months Israel does not exist any more ....... how will the Arab world solve their social problems resulting from well above average birth rate and population growth? For example Saudi Arabia population grew from around 7 million or so to over 19 million people in less than a generation. Egypt has very high unemployment (20 to 25%) of educated people who are frustrated as hell and forced to work low wage jobs to justify a living. Equal that to the US........ we should have by now over 500 million people,.......... India over 2 billion people - how do you provide shelter, workplace for such a population growth? from were do you get the basic living resources as water, agricultural land etc.? Population growth and the high birth rate is the problem. That is why parents care less if their children are "marthyrs".... after all the remaining family get compensated the equivalent of around 10 to 15 years earnings for each "marthyr" ....... how can one bread winner feed 12 to 16 children?
