I bought a small computer desk manufactured by O'Sullivan Industries at OfficeMax in Oct. 97. It is 25" wide. I checked O'Sullivan's web page and the narrowest I see is 31 1/4 inches wide. I don't know if putting two small desks side by side will work for you. Here is the link for O'Sullivan computer desks. good luck!

Hi Patricia,

I just installed one from IKEA. They have a good concept because of its modulartiy. You can build one with large or small table top, one, two or no pedestals (drawers), short or long runoffs. They also have these hanger thingys that you can mount your PC(s) under the desk if you want.

Pretty flexible and different colors too.

Patricia,
Computer Workstations: another very nice set up:

Call a used office furniture store and ask if they have any used Herman Miller AO1 or AO2 panels. (Action Office 1 or Action office 2)

These are now outdated and are getting cheaper and cheaper. You will need 1 48" panel and 2 24" panels and 2 2-way connectors. You will also need at least 2 work surfaces or shelves with brackets. The panels have "hanging slots" every 1/2 inch, so you can hang as many work surfaces or shelves as you want.

You can hang stuff on the front, back, and sides - in all directions.

There is room for 2 key boards sitting side by side on the lower work surface, along with 2 - 3 monitors. Then you can place your 2nd computer's monitors on the second work surface. You can take the bases off all monitors and adjust the shelfs so the monitors sit tightly together. There's also plenty of room for your towers, or you can hang them off the side.

There are a lot of accessories, files, tool bars, lights, etc. that hang on these panels.

There are millions of these panels around, but you may have to do some calling in your area to find them.

I like the flexiblity, and being able to change the configuration any time I want. Nice used panels usually sell for $25. - $50. a piece around here. If a panel has a tear in the material, they may give it to you.
