U.N. declared that Israel — unlike any other victorious victim of aggression — should return some, but specifically not all Ah yes, 242. In typical UN fashion the "clarifying statements" succeeded in completely muddying the waters on what the council actually meant. Which, I imagine, was the point of the exercise: make a statement that can be interpreted by anyone to mean anything, thus justifying everything. What a mess we, the "first" world, have helped perpetuate. And it's depressing that the old Soviets were most-right about 242.
