so what's your point? let's not be naive here. whether pursuing freer trade by lowering tariffs, or pursuing protectionism from the imposition of tariffs, certain groups stand to benefit, and other groups stand to lose. the president can't enact practically any policy these these days without the appearance of pandering to some special interest group or another. obviously you are unhappy that his latest policy move is to the benefit of the lumber industry.
