Bearish US stocks. Definitely. Why? It's a simple valuational argument. And if you believe interest rates are rising then the valuational argument becomes even more compelling.

Bearish the US economy? Well it depends on what you mean. Do I believe in the GDP growth of the 1990s is sustainable. Absolutely not. Do I believe the US economy is headed for a Japan-like recession. No.

The Nasdaq and the composites still has at least one major cleansing, IMHO, to flush the optimism out of the bulls like you, Rich1 and da Chef. Then I suspect the composites will be in a trading range for a prolonged period of time. Buying and holding during this phase of market consolidation will do chit. As usual, just my humble opinion.
