Just wish I was on the Outer Banks reading it....it snowed in Chicago this morning :(.

My local Barnes and Noble did not have the Sunne in Splendour in stock when I filled up the car for this trip. So I have the first volume of the Time series and one other, the title escapes me; a book by Jack Whyte that LindyBill recommended as good historical fiction; and have an order in to Amazon for the Sunne in Splendour.

But right now I'm enjoying Michael Ignatieff's book on Kosovo (he types yet again).

As for Chicago, we lived there from the summer of 63 through the summer of 69 while, among other things, we were both doing grad school stuff. Those winters were killers. I had lived in New Haven from 59 through 63 and had experienced nothing like it. (And my Texas growing up period before was snowless.)
