It's been snowing like heck here all day, so I filled the birdfeeder full of seeds (it's a platform that is against the outside of the window near my bed) and I spent much of the day reading "A Year in the Maine Woods" by Bernd Heinrich... and also looking at photos of pottery and kilns in these books. Redpolls, Juncos, Chickadees and Sparrows have been coming to feed all day. The snow is starting to come down pretty heavy now and it's right out of the east, so we might wake up to find a lot of snow on the ground. I decided to just make use of the time doing some catching up on my reading as I can't really go anywhere and I don't have to go in to work for another couple of days. Starting to wonder if spring is ever really going to get here.
