Zeev, are you still holding JNPR?? I was looking to add if it goes sub-11 in the am. Is breaching 11 a signal not to buy? Thanks.

Zeev, wouldn't surprise me - "they" need to improve their earnings & it certainly is not going to be through underwriting (debt or IPO's), or commissions from brokerage accounts (the way it used to). "They" need 'cheap' stock. It'll be interesting to see what percentage of finc'l institutions' profits come from trading operations this quarter.

the mark downs are concentrated in some of the larger issues, as if "they" were trying to precipitate a stronger sell off.

What does that mean?
Panic selling in liquid names?

The volume has been very light.

Nasdaq short interest is out tomorrow evening (i think). Expecting the short interest to have increased. Don't know if that means short covering ahead of the data...if not, the shorts are not scared at all in this environment.

Zeev, I have noted a lot of action that is not kosher and does not jibe.

Many stocks in the sky not breaking, my fear is once eoq is over these will all be sold, at least that is were I am placing some of my bets and I am pretty sure this is what is happening.

But overall it is one weird market for sure and we all need to be careful, bears and bulls. This is a scary market for all of us and we need to not get greedy, maintain tight stops and prudent risk management.
