Where have you see this figure? The quote that I saw said that they expect more than half of their units to be Hammer by the end of 2004.

I don't see the logic here. AMD is a smaller company, so they have faster turn around times. They can discontinue older products without as much of an impact, and they only have one fab that they need to ramp, so they can do it faster. You think that's *more* impressive? I'd call it a benefit of being smaller.
