I don't see why you have to scrutinize the word "matching" so much. The previous slide is called "300mm Yield Matching" - hopefully, you don't think Intel needs to Copy Exactly to match their .50u process, which is also on that slide <ggg>.

All these slides are intentionally vague in order to focus their message. I wasn't at the press event, but I can assure you that Intel didn't show off this slide to boast about future CPUs that will have 4x-5x more leakage current than the current ones. These are just marketing slides - they are supposed to be dumbed down pieces of data to make a point. I would have thought that most morons could understand them without having to ask someone else.

Thanks for proving once again that there are exceptions to every rule. :-)
