I think the average cost of a new home today is approx 125,000?? Is that right?? So 1500 is going to stop anyone from buying a house? I don't think so. If someone can't pay the extra 1500 should they really be buying a house for 125,000? Remember that 1500 is spread over 30 years, even with interest it probably doesn't even add 1.00 to the monthly mortgage.

People who complain about how much it will cost the American public dollars wise IMO have no case.

Sure its true what you say, but I bet, when the trickle down effect takes hold, and house prices go up because of tariffs and lumber giants pocket's get full, it will come back to haunt GWB. Who is he looking out for, the working stiff looking to buy a home or the Lumber Giant.
