The housing, finance, and real estate lobbies -- which rely on your average house buyers being able to afford homes -- are just about the strongest and most influential lobbies in the world, I'd wager.

well a very powerful powerful lobby (large multinational corporations) has had the ear of those in power for quite a while now, at the expense of the american blue-collar worker. this is one small win for domestic industry, which has come out on the losing end of the deal for so long.
