Cor, I think the reference is to the software/firmware protocol involved in SCI (SCISI) There were references to many things, but I picked on the bus drivers because that is something I have looked at very closely. I am certainly not aware of prior use of "constant current" drivers on a communication bus in any way which resembles DRDRAM. Indeed there would be no need for them if it were not for the other characteristics of the bus which require that a driver be able to place data onto the bus when a reflected or "backwards" travelling wave is passing that driver.
