kingfisher - If you don't like the sector, IMO there are better candidates for making short money than having to cover the yields on the energy trusts. So I guess the answer to your question is that I wouldn't short any of them.

I'd pick on some weak E&P sisters instead, especially those that are (still) swimming in debt - those kinds of stocks should be the first to get thrown over the transom when the sentiment turns back down.

I'd have to agree with Stan, those distributions add up pretty quick, if anything I consider buying the trusts and shorting the O&G Iunits.
