You missed my point. The issue was an extra 1500, not the interest rates. Your example proved that it's better to finance at 7%, pay cash, but didn't show the marginal difference an extra 1500 would NOT mean. You could have used 75 and 76500 and 7% or 8% or 9%, but the important part of this discussion wasn't the interest rate or the time period, it was the principle.

It's silly for us to go on about it, we are in agreement, but I wanted to show that an extra 1500 isn't something the anti tariff people can use as a reason for saying it shouldn't be done.
