Hi ftth,

Right you are about each tone being one user, much like Atheros's 5-UP (just FDM with clock synchronization)

The trick is to synchronize the tones from separate users across cells.

I misremember Flarion claiming 1:1 frequency reuse due to the orthogonality of the LDPC tones across cells, which seems to have survived to now. The advantage of CDMA without the patent implications ;-)
