Option Reform Gains Backing
Pension Fund Group---Council of Institutional Investors (CII)---Reverses Its Stand

washingtonpost.com

Snip
But with the controversy over options as part of executive compensation growing after the failure of Enron Corp. and other corporations, the council, holding its annual meeting in Washington, approved a resolution saying the cost of the options should be factored into a company's expenses when the options are granted, which would reduce the company's profits.

This pension group's members manage more than two trillion in assets, so it appears this is pretty powerful constituent in the reform camp.

Best, Huey

Definitely! Objectivity is important. It's amazing how many people on these threads act like you've just personally insulted their family or something if you say ANYTHING remotely negative about one of their 'beloved' stocks!

John, you have a problem that I cannot help you with. I can engage you in verbal battle once again and swap insults. That does no good for you, me or the others on this board.

You and I both need to elevate the level of exchanges here. I admit that. Just look at the history we have accumulated in our recorded posts, and I hope for your sake that you will be as ashamed as I am.

Now look at what you choose to level an attack over? The word "hope"..... Step back with me and look at what you said to me. Anywhere in life, except here on a posting site on the Internet, this type of exchange would be called what it really is - sick.

As I told you in a series of private messages we exchanged some time back - move on John. Let this sick stuff go. I just do not want to take your bait again.

Jeff

PS: As for the word hope, I found this interesting article just a few minutes ago in my morning reading. In it was this paragraph.

"Thousands of miles from his usual stomping grounds, Robert McTeer, president of the Fed’s Dallas bank, said "I am not in a hurry" to raise rates, Reuters reported from Prague. McTeer, one of the voters on interest-rate moves, added he is "hopeful" inflation will only decline in the months ahead."

I believe that hope is ok. There, I took my stand.
