Sure provides a nice short term pop for longs in the short-term time frame.

IMO only, low interest rates have triggered a refinancing mortgage boom that have allowed consumers to go ever deeper into debt.

Once interest rates start to move up, consumers will be tapped out & will probably not be able to participate... they will be trapped into declining real estate prices & will probably be unable to sell because of the low liquidity problems inherent in the real estate markets. Hence the double dip scenario.
Fannie Mae weekly chart... topping out... lower lows & lower highs. All indicators suggest to sell this POS ASAP
