Hamas has made it abundantly clear that they won't negotiate with Israel.

Israel doesn't NEED to negotiate with any of the Palestinian groups. Israel is strong enough to act unilaterally, the international community just needs to get off of its back.


Z, I disagree. Israel is not stronger than the combined might of the Arabs. They have succeeded this far in keeping the Arabs at bay because of the Arabs own divisiveness, their [the Israelis] military prowess and the US standing behind them.

Israel needs the West a lot more than the West needs Israel. So I don't think Israel wants the international community [read, the West] off its back anytime soon.
