Based on what I've seen in the past, its a lot easier to buy a company like Provident after the announcement(they always seem to bounce back) than try and buy it before the announcement. Another way is to buy a company when it announces that it will change into a royalty trust, they also go up (as long as price of nat resources remain the same)and if necessary O&G can be hedged,
