Well we are back to thin servers and software total systems.

Neoware and NCD Schedule Conference Call to Discuss Companies' Alliance and Neoware's Acquisition of NCD's ThinSTAR Product Line
KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. and MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., March 22, 2002 -- Neoware Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:NWRE), and Network Computing Devices, Inc. (OTCBB:NCDI) today announced that they have entered into a Definitive Agreement under which Neoware will purchase NCD's ThinSTAR thin client appliance product line and the two companies have entered into an alliance to grow the worldwide thin client appliance market.

I followed ncdi actually owed it once. I liked the thin server concept. I deplore tracing down computer problems i thought ncdi had unlimited potential especially for the consumer who did not wish be Watson on a computer. This did not work as the net I visioned was a safer simpler net.

I got very confused with the soft ware as it appears part of the soft ware is linux based. I prefer linux as the control of your own net work is tighter than it is with MSFT. Because Linux is open a programmer controls the program the programmer is not limited by the program. Example in MSFT it is hard to find where the error is originating from there of difficult to fix if you have a breach in security. Linux is open code so you can find it and fix it, as you can easily get in to correct the problem.

This is not just soft ware it is the thin client which i thought. The soft ware connects the boxes to a main server that is the main computer the entire office operates out of. The linkage they have come up with in software might be superior i dont know. The plus is the fact you can easily access anything you need from the main source. The chance of a botch up on any one of the computers is less and the entire operating system can be accessed. The units might function like a ordinary computer but they are less costly as when you need additional information you do not have to have the information on your own computer you connect into the main source.

At least I know we are talking about the same company.
