I had organized a meal between a Monetary Authority pal and my fund pals that very night, and the atmosphere was electric:0! Ordinary people cheered. Government critics and WSJ screamed. Then, all was well, and all silenced, but, like I mentioned, probably because the US had to intervene globally due to Russia/LTCM. Chugs, Jay
