I am socially liberal and economically conservative. I suppose I could claim to be a libertarian. You seem to be really stuck on that bi-polar paradigm of left and right, Dem and Rep. There's a lot of texture. I read somewhere today that 20 percent, I think it was, of US voters are libertarian. Just a handful of them subscribe to the LP. Most of them are either independents or Republicans. Philosophy and affiliation are two different things. The reason I posted you that clip was to demonstrate that one can be a libertarian conservative. Or a traditionalist or paleo- or neo- or social-... Whatsa matter? Do you think if you admit to a libertarian bent they'll kick you out of the club? Think you're a pansy? One can have some libertarian perspectives and be a member of the GOP.
