Who are those people? they are the ones that pull up next to you at the stop light with one person in the car, yakking away on their cell phone, they are the housewife that drives to the supermarket in Florida or Texas for her dozen eggs, and absolutely must have the suv because "the roads are so dangerous in this country, and so steep".

the station wagons of your parents generation used older technology, the ones today get more than 8 miles to the gallon.

a family of six in an escort? why not a van? The point is, a suv is a vanity vehicle for almost all who own it.

That may not be something most people will admit to, but in reality, that's the situation. there is absolutely no justification for most people to own one in this country that do, this country is not boliva a country of dirt roads, and mountains. It's more in the line of a rationalization.

But I don't CARE that they do, I am merely pointing out the folly of it all, it's their choice, and that's what it's about, you buy what you want.
