Re: gold - I did not mean you in particular. I meant - asking Congress to tell the Fed to buy whatever asset class it is that you happen to be holding is a little obvious. So is asking Congress to tell the Fed to sell (or not buy) whatever asset class it is that you happen to be short.

Most Congressmen and women have enough humility or self-understanding to know that there is no way in the world they (personally) could actually run the Federal Reserve. Thank goodness.

I don't know where these guys learn how to be central bankers. I don't suppose you can major in central banking in college.
