That was what I was talking about, and no, they never targeted civilians.

I've spoken with someone who has done so recently (she's actually putting together a Koran class and has found a Muslim scholar to teach it), and it sounds like her scholar really did take a liberalist attitude of interpretation. I don't know what he said about that issue, but he basically said that the Koran preaches love towards Christians and Jews (which I believed until I read the book), and it in fact does not.

I'd like to find a scholar, but I don't have the time.
