That is one big reason why I would not short AMAT right now cause it seems to have replaced GNSS as the new "darling".


Mish, you just have to be deft. I shorted it successfully today in my trading account. It had a nice intra-day move down until the EOD rally.

I also shorted a little in my longer-term "investment" account early today. I am sure I will suck a little gas on it, but it's tough to catch the top and in a few months it will be much lower. The trick is not over-leveraging yourself.

Interesting.... and agreed with month end, could hold it up although we've all seen it get whacked in the last couple days of a quarter as well.
