You missed my point the technology was done and is totally in place and has sat dormant for about eight years. Maybe you are using it? President Bush was doing coke when it was developed. Unfortunately it matured when oil prices totally tanked and no one wanted to spend the millions required to attach the equipment to coal fired power plants.

Ish,

Will scrubbers remove the mercury? I thought that one of the largest sources of mercury pollution is from burning coal for electricity. Also, isn't more Carbon Dioxide released (per MW, in modern plants) from burning Coal than natural gas?
