I just sandblast the stove when it gets too nasty.

Easy to clean means a lot. Thanks from the cleaner.

BTW, the Whirlpool one is made so that you can pop all the knobs off the front and slide the glass backsplash panel up to remove it for washing

It is? I didn't know that! Maybe ours is different. Must go look!
The handle fell off our oven over a year ago-- just snapped off. I need to go get another, but it involves a trip to some place in Fort Worth and is low on my list of priorities, and now I am used to opening it by the sides so I never think about it.

Today I am cleaning cabinets for my new Calphalon and laying down new shelf paper. I didn't have the nerve to put them on the dirty, torn stuff. The pots would probably walk right out the door and return themselves to the store. There's probably a clause in their contract that specifies elegant and hygienic storing conditions or else they refuse to cook the food.
Next I will have to clean the stove as they surely can;t be expected to work in a dirty oven. And I have to go buy new potholders. I wouldn't dare ask them to be touched by my grimy, stained ones.
The responsibility is overwhelming.
