heh, apparently in your enthusiasm you missed the part where i said, "for the time being". let's talk reality. in 2001 wind generation accounted for around 0.37% of UK demand. yes, three-eighths of one percent. in the united states wind accounted for around one-tenth of one percent (0.10%)

i'm sorry to throw cold water on your green power fantasy, but one gas fired plant in california can produce more energy than all of the 17,000 windmills in california combined.
