That's something like saying that right wing sensibilities bred the atrocities that were conducted under Nazi rule in Germany. Which is to say, your statement is a huge oversimplification. There was a lot more to the atrocities in USSR under Stalin than Communism per se. There were cultural, religious, ethnic and totalitarian components that had as much or more to do with it than Communism (just as there were predicates to the carnage of WWII and the holocaust that went beyond mere right wing sensibility on the part of the Nazi party and the people in Germany, Poland and Europe who were sympathetic to those right wing sensibilities).
