Good Lord, a simple post to Early warning him of a possible rally started an entire unwanted chain of posts. That said, my understanding was that quarter end is the the last trading day of the month and not based on settlement dates.

Does it vary from brokerage house to brokerage house?
If not is it settlement date or trade date?

My only answer is that I am going under 10% here, bought in premarket QCOM at $38.70 and am ready to buy INVN here under $38. I'll sell something later today, to get back to the 10% to 20% level.

Just got INVN at $37.60. Stop loss tight on that one, at $35.25. They just did a secondary yesterday, which I consider a positive development.
