Truth, justice and the American Way... Re: Clinton, that may be. I wasn't a big fan and didn't follow him that closely. The impression I had was Clinton was doing a few things - not enough obviously, else we'd have 50mpg 200hp SUVs by now. But for whatever reasons in spite of not voting for him I didn't feel he was incompetent or ill-intentioned. He got enough flack that likelihood of corrupt and secret backroom deals were less likely, instead of being SOP as it appears today.
