Is it the Republicans blocking Tort reform? Not all members of either party are in step with their party's program. The reason we have ridiculous rewards is because we have no limits on the amount juries can award. The glut of litigious behavior is directly attributable to outsized awards. A lack of respect for the law fostered by our first Dis-Barred sitting President probably contributed too. The glut of White House illegal behavior probably inspired a whole new generation of lawyers. All of these facts support my theory. (LOL)
