16:57 ET Emerson Elec lowers guidance (EMR) 61.95 -0.18: Co lowers guidance, saying that total orders improved in Feb, indicating improved business conditions and supporting the outlook for increasing sales in sequential qtrs, albeit at a modestly slower pace than previously anticipated. Sales growth for the March qtr is now expected to be within the range of the Nov to Jan order rates (down 15-20% on a trailing 3 month avg vs prior year), versus earlier expectations for a modest double-digit decline; on a sequential basis, sales growth for the quarter will be positive.
