Yousef: Now, doesn't it also "bother" you that AMD will only get to 300mm by a "partnership" with UMC ??!! I don't know about Ali, but it certainly doesn't bother me. Quite the opposite, actually, since it allows AMD access to 300mm earlier than they would otherwise have been able to accomplish. Additionally, AMD has secured all IP rights to the joint venture fab. Hasn't AMD done "process partnerships" before (think Motorolo). How have these worked out ??!! .18µm Al and .18µm Cu seem to be working out very well indeed. Does this mean the next AMD CEO will be from UMC ??!! If AMD can manage to lure away top personnel from UMC, what harm (to AMD) would there be in that? Btw, are your quotation marks placed completely at random, or is there some system to it? -fyo
